DECLARATION
We, The United Grand Lodge Of Virginia of Ancient and Accepted Scottish
Rite Free Masons, in order to form a perfect fraternal union, establish order,
insure tranquility, provide for and promote the general welfare of the Craft and
secure to the fraternity in the blessings of Masonic privileges, do hereby affirm
our adherence to the Ancient Landmarks of Freemasonry and, furthermore, do
ordain and establish this order; in accordance with the Constitutions and
Regulations of 1723, reprinted in 1734. United Grand Lodge Of Virginia
Operates under the Masonic authority granted by the Original Masonic Patent of
1761, Organized in 1762, recognized by the Supreme Council, Mother Lodge
of England under the Supreme Constitutions of Councils of 1786, reorganized
1995, 2014. Revised 1786-1806-1821-1905-1995-2014. Therefore the absolute
authority of this organization shall be vested in United Grand Lodge Of
Virginia and is hereafter empowered to establish, or cause to be
established, Grand Lodges, Lodges, youth departments, investment
departments, other departments and branches or associations that may best
serve the interest of our members, provided they do not violate the 25
landmarks, Anderson Constitution or the laws of the states or countries in.
Masonic Purpose
United Grand Lodge Of Virginia shall conduct community service based functions and operations; to serve as a central service based non- profit entity to enhance business, social interaction, community service events, and other uses as required, in service to the community. Community Service programs directly strives to develop, plan, carry out, and evaluate projects that improve the quality of life in the communities. Community Service focused programs will help build skills for family, career, and community roles; provides youth-centered learning projects related to Family and Consumer Sciences education; and encourages the community to develop the positive character traits of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship in every member.
